accurate and simple way of copying slides and negatives into digital format
22/05/2012 10:48:00Quick delivery up and running in minutes- first batch done the same evening.
Reading,
Works very well transferring our many slides to our computer and then on to disc. Good value for money.
nottingham
Scanner works no probems. I have 6000 slides to scan so it will take me some time!!
Kettering
Product seems fine when you find out how to work it. Instructions are less than comprehensive
Harrogate
Seems OK, but need more time and experience to fully evaluate.
Oldham
Did't realise transfering photographs could be so simple.
Crewe
Does what it says on the box. Just what I wanted.
Wokingham
The copier produces very good copies of slides, I have not tried it on film. I like the fact that you do not need to worry about compatibility with a computer. The manual is useless, so at first you have to persevere and just try the various combinations of buttons.
Nottingham
It is easy to use with clear and precise instructions. I am very pleased to be able to transfer my slides and negatives on SD and my computer. I would highly recommend this scanner.
Bristol
instuctions quite vague in parts ,due I think to the translation, once I sorted it quick and easy to use.
Guildford
Really neat and useful device for bringing my old photo negatives up to date to save onto cd and snd to friends from years ago.
Newton Abbot
The converter was everything I expected. The Instruction book was a little poor though.
Grayshott
Very pleased with the results
Northampton
Neat piece of kit, wished had spent extra money for the next one up. Works well
London
Very good value
Barrow-in-Furness
Now working satisfactorily. Instructions on use could be more foolproof but perhaps that`s me.
harrogate
Don't know how it works, but it does - must get on and view some more negatives !
Aldeburgh
The scanner worked well once I had spoken to your technical department for some clarification. Manual not very clear. For instance I didn't realise the scanner reverted to negatives every time it was switched off.
Berkeley
Performs well fit for purpose for most people with a box of old negatives and slides to transfer. view on TV then transfer to a PC later is good. Lens needed cleaning regularly and was a bit fiddly to clean. Good value for money.
Newport
Excellent product, even better that I had expected.
Cranborne
brill, have been able to transfer 1000+ Colour slides to S.D card and then onto Computer and to disc in just one week . great little device, well worth its money.
Kingswinford
Excellent piece of equipment. Does what it says on the box. Selection of processes could be easier to access, but I suppose continued use will simplify this operation.
Horsham
Works well but instruction booklet could be clearer
Sudbury
We have found it easy and quick to use, although it has taken a little while to work out the way through some menus. The results have been of good quality, except for some files which have been corrupted apparently on the SD card. However they were Ok when first looked at on the TV, so we don't think it was the fault of the scanner itself
Haverfordwest
Exactly what I wanted. No problems with colour reproduction. Very good product for the price
Carrickfergus
Produces good images on SD Card. User Manual very poor as learning all the features is very much a trial and error requirement.
Saltash
Good value for money, arrived promptly
Wirral
I copied slides and negatives some of which were about 50 years old and the results were excellent
Nottingham
Useful not having to have it connected to a computer in order to operate it. Definition is pretty good and autofocus works well, but auto colour occasionally gets it very wrong and produces a heavy colour cast, usually magenta.
Colchester
Not allbells and whistles but exactly what I required for the job Iam doing
Teignmouth
Although there was a delay due to the item being out of stock I was kept informed.
Colwyn Bay
Excellent value though technically not a scanner but a micro camera. On the face of it VFM.
Cirencester
It does what I expected - nothing special but good value for the price
Worcester
Have used twice now and is proving to be just what I required. The manual could be more user-friendly though.
Waterlooville
I am quite pleased with the scanner which I found easy to use once I had worked out the instructions which are not clear to understand. My only criticism is that slides which were taken with the subject in a vertical position were cropped due to the aperture size.
Wolverhampton
Excellent results, far better than I hope for. A large box of family holiday slides from the 60's is now safely stored on an SD card and memory stick. Veiwing now is so simple compared to the old days. Next job is an even bigger box of my own slides which have not been seen for years. I think that copying direct onto SD card is far simpler then using a computer as it is so easy to transfer to a laptop once scanned. Great value for money, 50 quid well spent. Thank you.
Hemel Hempstead
An excellent device.
Maldon
Product is easy to use with good results so far.
Waterlooville
Very pleased with it, just what I wanted (I have 3 previously-purchased film scanners)
Edinburgh
Anexcellent product which does what it says. The quality of copying is very good and looks the same as a normal jpeg. The instructions are anything but good. They are written in poor english and do not include some of the basic details necessary to use the product but i was able to guess what to do ! The instructions need to be improved. [T2 Direct comment: Thank you for your constructive criticism. We have passed your comments on to the manufacturer, Neostar Electronics, and they have improved the quality of the instruction manual. The new manual is now available to download from our website. Please let us know if you feel this is better!]
Alfreton
Great product which bypassed the worry about keeping up with computer upgrades. The screen is a little fuzzy but the images transfer instantly and look great everywhere else I have transferred them to. One small complaint is that the power lead us ridiculously short! Had to use an extension lead just to plug it in to the wall.
Poole
Does what says on the tin
Waterlooville
As a basic tool, it was ideal for our purpose, primarily to transfer our collection of photos/etc,for the grandchildren.
Hassocks
No problems so far ... Does what is claimed.
Waterlooville
very good did exactly what i wanted ive tried a couple of other models before but neither of them worked
Newtownabbey
Easy to use and satisfactory results
Hereford
basic machine but easy to use and excellent performance for the money. Instruction manual not the easiest to follow as lost a lot in translation, but machine is easy to use intuitively. I am very happy with it. [T2 Direct comment: We found following the instructions and operating the scanner quite easy. However, in light of some feedback from customers we are working with the manufacturer to try to improve the standards of the instruction manual.]
Glasgow
Fulfills the requirments of the job that I required it to do
Q&As
Back to TopQ: Do I need a computer to convert my slides and negatives to digital?
A: No. This product will scan and copy your slides and negatives directly to the SD card supplied, using the built-in SD card reader. However, this product also has a USB-out connection and comes supplied with a USB lead so you can connect it to a PC or MAC and ‘drag’ images saved on the SD card to your computer
Q: Will this work with a MAC and a PC.
A: Yes it will work with both.
Q: Does this product come supplied with any image editing software included which I can use on my PC / MAC?
A: No. This does not come with software for computers as the main point of the product is that you do not need a PC or MAC to scan and digitise your old slides / negatives! It will save scanned images as jpeg files directly to the SD memory card.
Q: How is this product powered?
A: You plug it into the mains electric at home (i.e. you do not need a computer to power this device); also you can power it from the PC (computer) using the USB cable supplied
Q: What is the resolution of the image once scanned?
A: 5 mega pixel: the quality of the scan is equivalent to the resolution you would achieve if you took a digital photograph with a 5Mega Pixel camera. However, it will also scan up to 10Mega Pixel interpolated
Q: How many images will a 1GB SD card store?
A: 1000 images at 2520 x 1680 pixels per image
Q: What kind of memory cards is this compatible with?
A: ALL SD, SDHC (Secure Digital High Capacity) up to 8GB
Q: Can I use this as an SD card reader?
A: Yes. Connect the scanner to a computer using the supplied USB cable and drag any saved images (or other files) from the card onto your hard drive
