A very well designed pruner, I particularly like the locking system which is easy to operate,and avoids accidental locking which can occur with some makes. Suffering from arthritus in my hands, I find the handles very good, allowing me to adjust my grip whilst in use.

Back to TopQ: Can you explain about the guarantee a bit more ?
A: Products that carry a limited lifetime warrantee are actually usually limited to the lifetime of the product (normally 7 years maximum) and not the user. The Eckman Limited Lifetime Warrantee guarantees the product against faulty workmanship for the lifetime of the purchaser (meaning the guarantee is not transferable). Any product found to be defective will be replaced or repaired free of charge but must be returned at the purchaser’s cost. The warranty does not cover damage due to abuse or normal wear and tear
Q: You state these pruners have a maximum cutting capacity of 25mm diameter stems. Does that cover all types of wood ?
A: No. 25mm diameter applies to live stems or stems that have recently died. Maximum cutting ability will be reduced when pruning wood that has been dead for a number of months. In this case we recommend using a pair of lopping shears (also available)
Q: As the cutting blade is titanium plated, can I still sharpen it when it eventually gets blunt?
A: Yes. You can re-sharpen in the normal way
Q: Can you use these pruners whether you are right or left-handed ?
A: Yes. It makes no difference
Q: What happens if I try and cut wire with these pruners ?
A: You will probably succeed, depending on the thickness of the wire, but you will dull the edge of the blade and you will not be able to claim on your warranty should this result in blade damage
Q: If I damage the blade, is it replaceable ?
A: Yes
